Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a contract position in Muskegon, Michigan. The PT will evaluate and treat patients across a range of orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical diagnoses, developing individualized treatment plans to restore function and improve quality of life. This is a day shift role in an inpatient or outpatient hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and establish individualized physical therapy treatment plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Supervise physical therapy assistants and support staff as applicable
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
Requirements
- Active PT license in Michigan or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program (DPT preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical PT experience preferred
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered
