Position: Physical Therapist, Pelvic Floor, Outpatient (Per Diem)
Department: OP Physical Therapy
Schedule: Per diem, Weekdays, Day Shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Physical Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments of in and outpatients with physical and functional deficits, planning and implementing individual/group physical therapy treatments to achieve the highest possible level of independence. Collaborates with other disciplines to arrange for appropriate follow-up care and facilitates a successful return to home and work environments. Provides student training according to departmental guidelines and participates in continuous education. Is encouraged to assist in interdisciplinary research.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Work requires a Bachelor's / Master's or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Work requires a current Commonwealth of Massachusetts license.
APTA and MCAPTA membership preferred.
Work requires a current AHA BLS for Healthcare Workers certification, or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Workers certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Physical Therapists with experience treating pelvic floor cases are encouraged to apply.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Work requires interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families and various members of the health care team.
