Get to Know Your Team: Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the regions Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care. ResponsibilitiesThe Physical Therapist is responsible for the analysis and use of purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by physical injury or illness, pain, bodily malfunction, developmental disabilities, or the aging process in order to maximize independence, prevent disability, and maintain health. The practice of physical therapy encompasses evaluation, treatment, consultation, and education of patients as well as caregivers.Assumes responsibility for clinical competency and professional development.Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a Plan of Care.Implements the Plan of Care.Completes effective, professional, and timely documentation. Educates patients, families, caregivers, and team members. QualificationsJob Requirements:Graduate of an accredited program with a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Physical TherapyCurrent Idaho Physical Therapist license.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job Requirements:At least one year of Physical Therapist experience.
