Physical Therapist (PT)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate PRN Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping residents achieve their fullest potential while collaborating with a skilled team of therapists and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide top-notch therapy to residents, helping them improve their quality of life
• Work with a diverse range of rehab patients and rehab needs
• Collaborate with a fun and supportive interdisciplinary team
• Deliver personalized treatment plans in a welcoming, community-centered environment
• Directly supervises PTA's and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the facility policies, practices, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Indirect supervisor of nurse, program, activity and other assistants as their job functions relate to resident care. Must consistently use discretion and independent judgment.
• Performs initial resident examination, evaluation, interpretation of referrals, and creates the initial plan of care for each resident and revises as appropriate.
• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate application of precautions and contraindications to physical therapy treatment procedures and modalities.
• Ensures proper physical therapy care rendered by the PTA for all residents for whom he or she is the therapist of record by delegating appropriate portions of the treatment plan and program to the PTA consistent with the PTA’s education, training and experience; being accessible by telecommunication to the PTA at all times while the PTA is treating resident for whom he or she is the therapist of record; providing supervision of the PTA as required by State Practice Act, and as needed. provides supervisory conferences and visits as required and as requested.
