Description
An education network is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Yonkers, NY to provide school-based physical therapy services, conduct evaluations, and support individualized care for children across early childhood and school-age settings.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:00am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:00pm
- Setting: Onsite School-Based
Responsibilities:
- Provide mandated physical therapy services in accordance with IEP documents for assigned students
- Conduct physical therapy assessments and functional evaluations and communicate findings clearly
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, goal tracking, and related records in compliance with program requirements
- Support assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and orthotic needs as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
- At least 1 year of pediatric physical therapy experience
- Bachelor's degree
- New York State Physical Therapist license and registration certificate
- NPI number
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with medically complex or intellectually/developmentally disabled pediatric populations
- Exposure to BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with school-based services and IEP documentation
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technology
