Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Florida Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred. This includes evaluation, development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and functional goal setting.
- Demonstrated competency with 60-minute evaluations and one-on-one treatment sessions preferred.
- Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with clinic and payer guidelines.
- Experience supervising or mentoring students preferred.
- Maintain professional licensure in good standing and comply with state practice act and continuing education requirements.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Outpatient clinic.
- Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
- Duration: 13 week assignment.
- Role expectations: 60-minute initial evaluations and treatment sessions. Develop and modify treatment plans, delegate discipline-specific therapy services, and provide patient and family education.
- Documentation expectations: Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate and timely manner per clinic policies and payer requirements.
- Safety and compliance: Follow clinic safety standards, safe patient handling, infectious disease procedures, and organizational code of conduct.
