    This position will be based in a clinic in the Southwest Austin area near zip code 78746.

    CareNow is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality musculoskeletal care in an urgent care setting while helping shape and grow a developing physical therapy program. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with acute musculoskeletal conditions while collaborating closely with medical providers to ensure efficient, coordinated care.

    Your impact:

    You will evaluate and treat patients with acute musculoskeletal conditions while collaborating closely with medical providers in the clinic. With imaging available on site and the ability to initiate treatment during the same episode of care, you can help patients move from evaluation to a clear recovery plan efficiently.

    As a Physical Therapist, you will:

    • Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess strength, mobility, balance, and functional capacity
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals
    • Administer therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and appropriate physical modalities
    • Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans to support optimal outcomes
    • Conduct focused musculoskeletal evaluations for scheduled and walk-in patients in an urgent care environment
    • Identify clinical red flags and collaborate with providers on next steps, including on-site imaging or referrals when appropriate
    • Initiate treatment during same-day visits to support timely recovery and return to function
    • Treat a varied patient population that may include occupational medicine and workers' compensation injuries
    • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury-prevention strategies
    • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), aides, and students in accordance with state practice acts and organizational policy
    • Partner with clinic leadership and providers to help develop workflows and grow the PT program
    • Support clinic operations and contribute to a positive, efficient patient experience

     You should have:

    • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (BS, MS, or DPT required)
    • Current state Physical Therapy license
    • Current BLS/CPR certification
    • Clinical experience in outpatient, rehabilitation, or a similar setting; urgent care experience is preferred
    • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
    • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach to working with providers and interdisciplinary partners
    • A commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
