Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital Inpatienrt Rehabilitation Department is seeking a full time Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive care for our NICU. This position works in close collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team including OT, SLP, RT, case management, neonatologists and sub-specialists to provide optimal care for the babies in our NICU and new born nursery. Shift: First / Full Time (Weekend Option) Responsibilities Essential Functions · Comprehensive evaluation and treatment in collaboration with the NICU clinical team, gathering data from the family, the physician, interdisciplinary team meetings, and other data sources. · Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives. · Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide neurodevelopmental care appropriate to the age of the patient · Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plan and goals when appropriate · Ensures complete documentation and accurate billing using an electronic medical record. Other Related Functions · Communicates and collaborates within a multi-disciplinary NICU team · Attends rehabilitation meetings, in-services, and any patient care meetings that are required for the assignment. · Maintains a positive and encouraging treatment environment. · Demonstrates compassion, honesty, and open communication with all patients, their families and coworkers. · Participates in performance improvement, program development, student supervision, assigned committees, safety, and infection control, as required. · Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment. Qualifications Education/Training Bachelors degree or higher from an approved program. Licensure/Certification Maintains current Physical Therapy license in the State of Florida. Temporary permit is acceptable. • Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification. Experience Two years of pediatric experience is preferred.
