Physical Therapy Aide - Must Have Prior Experience

About the Role:
Active Physical Therapy PLLC is looking for a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team in Larchmont, NY! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced physical therapists, gain hands-on clinical experience, and make a real difference in patients' recovery journeys.
We need evening hour coverage from 2 pm to 9 pm on MON and WED, and 1 pm to 6 pm TUES and THURS.
Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering patient care and treatment programs
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and therapy supplies
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities under therapist supervision
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting observations to the supervising PT
• Provide a welcoming, supportive environment for patients throughout their rehabilitation
• Perform front desk and administrative duties including scheduling and patient check-in as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic in accordance with safety and hygiene standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in health sciences or kinesiology a plus
• Prior experience in a physical therapy, healthcare, or clinical setting is required
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach
• Ability to stand, assist with patient mobility, and perform light physical tasks throughout the shift
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player in a fast-paced clinical environment
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy or allied health is a strong plus
