Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Physical Therapy Aide to support our licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in delivering high-quality care. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, organized treatment environment and assisting with non-clinical tasks related to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist therapists by preparing treatment areas and equipment.
- Support patients during therapeutic exercises and mobility training under supervision.
- Set up and clean exercise and therapy equipment as directed.
- Observe and report patient reactions to therapy to the supervising therapist.
- Reinforce instructions provided by the therapist to patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to infection control procedures throughout the clinic.
- Perform routine clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, or maintaining records as needed.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and professional environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of physical therapy equipment and exercises is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
- Physically able to lift equipment and assist patients with mobility.
