Job Summary and Qualifications We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a full-time basis. As a PTA on our team, you will provide treatment and rehabilitative services to patients to improve mobility, relieve pain and disability under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Your duties and responsibilities may include:Conduct patient education, including post-care planning, proper use of supportive devices and equipment, and gait and functional training. Record, monitor, analyze and review clinical data; Provide feedback to therapist regarding possible modifications to treatment plan and goals based upon patient performance; Adapt recognized therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of the patient. Collaborate with patient service departments and community service agencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs and learning activities.Utilize appropriate methods and material for effective learning, monitor response to education and adapt program as needed. Requirements: Associate degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant programClear/active State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant licenseCurrent Functional Independence Measure (FIM) requiredExperience in appropriate healthcare setting - inpatient rehab - preferredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Critical thinking and adaptability; services excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; general PC skillsAbility to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting patients and /or equipment up to 50 poundsBenefits HCA Florida Brandon Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
