Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and home care techniques.
- Document patient care and progress in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain and clean equipment used in therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide support to patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all patients.
Requirements:
- Current PTA license in the state of Michigan.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in a home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
- Reliable transportation for travel to patient homes.
