Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing healthcare team in Maryland. As a PTA, you will work collaboratively with our Physical Therapists to provide exceptional patient care and rehabilitation services.
- Implement prescribed treatment plans under the supervision of Physical Therapists
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques
- Assist patients with mobility, strength training, and functional activities
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate treatment records
- Educate patients and families about exercises and home programs
- Set up and maintain therapy equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and report patient responses to treatment
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment
- Participate in team meetings and care planning sessions
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Maryland state license or ability to obtain promptly
- Valid CPR certification
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- Strong manual therapy and exercise instruction skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic modalities
- Comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Compassionate approach to patient care
- Team-oriented mindset with strong collaborative skills
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and exercises
Additional Information
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $28.00-$38.00. Pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Companys incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Companys plan.
