As a Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ), you will:

• Assess patients' physical condition and well-being.
• Assist Physical Therapists and other interdiciplinary healthcare providers.
• Assist in the creation of individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their physical goals.
• Assist with Implementing therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Document patients' progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for continued improvement.

A few must-haves for Physical Therapy Assistants ( PTA ):

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program with an active PTA license in Indiana
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Physical Therapy
• 1 year of experience in an acute, Acute rehab or LTAC hospital setting.
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations
• Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, dexterity and compassion
