Physical Therapist Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments and therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment outcomes to the therapy team.
- Accurately document patient care, progress notes, and treatment activities.
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, exercises, and injury prevention techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Utah Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.

- Experience in outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or orthopedic settings.
