The Staff Pad has partnered with a prestigious healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX to find a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their growing Physical Therapy team.
In this role you will administer and oversee physician-prescribed physical therapy treatments and therapeutic modalities to support patient rehabilitation and recovery.
What You'll Do
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physician-directed therapy services by:
- Delivering physical therapy treatments according to prescribed plans and scheduled appointments
- Preparing, educating, and monitoring patients throughout treatment sessions to ensure safe and effective care
- Administering therapeutic exercises, physical agents, and ambulatory procedures while providing age-appropriate care in accordance with departmental policies
- Documenting treatments accurately and communicating patient progress to therapists, physicians, and leadership
- Maintaining therapy equipment through routine upkeep, cleaning, sanitization, storage, and minor preventive maintenance
Additional Requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide exceptional patient service
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals
- Follow infection control, safety procedures, and Healthcare System policies
- Process daily therapy service charges
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Current Texas PTA license required
- Knowledge of physical therapy equipment and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- CPR certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers; push/pull up to 300 lbs as needed
