We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Fargo, North Dakota. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping patients improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life in inpatient and long-term care rehabilitation settings.
Requirements:
Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required.
License must be current and in good standing.
Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience required.
Experience in inpatient rehabilitation and/or long-term care preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, patient safety practices, and therapeutic interventions.
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or treatment response.
Assist patients with mobility training, strengthening exercises, balance activities, and functional movement.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient records.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery goals.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, rehabilitation standards, and patient safety protocols.
Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and patient positioning during therapy sessions.
