Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Location: Fargo, ND 58103
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Fargo, North Dakota. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping patients improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life in inpatient and long-term care rehabilitation settings.

Requirements:

  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required.

  • License must be current and in good standing.

  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience required.

  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation and/or long-term care preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, patient safety practices, and therapeutic interventions.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or treatment response.

  • Assist patients with mobility training, strengthening exercises, balance activities, and functional movement.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.

  • Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient records.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery goals.

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, rehabilitation standards, and patient safety protocols.

  • Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and patient positioning during therapy sessions.
