    Role Description The Physical Therapy Technician is a part-time, on-site role based in Rochester Hills, MI. This role supports physical therapists and orthopedic providers by preparing treatment areas, organizing equipment, and assisting with patient exercise programs under professional supervision. Daily responsibilities include guiding patients through prescribed exercises, monitoring comfort and safety, documenting activities, and helping maintain a clean and orderly clinic environment. The technician will also support front-office workflow by greeting patients, answering phones, and coordinating basic scheduling needs as needed. Collaboration with clinical and administrative staff is key to delivering a positive, efficient experience for every patient.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and patient care abilities to support individuals through therapy sessions with empathy and professionalism.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including clear instructions to patients and accurate documentation of activities.

    • Foundational knowledge of physical therapy concepts, therapeutic exercises, and safe body mechanics in a clinical or sports medicine setting.

    • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework.
    • \n
    • Ability to stand, bend, lift light to moderate weight, and assist patients safely throughout treatment sessions.

    • Prior experience in a rehabilitation, orthopedic, or sports medicine environment is beneficial.

    • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow clinical instructions and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
