Opportunity Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (prorated on call); all in-house shifts - no dependence on home call for core compensation; broad exposure to diverse, high-acuity case mix
  • Schedule: Flexible full-time and part-time schedules available with a work-life balance focused team. Call and holidays are shared among the group in a manner that creates individual hourly and compensation flexibility.
  • Location and Hospital Info: Muskegon: Level 2 trauma center; Grand Rapids: Level 2 trauma center; Grand Haven: Level 4 community hospital.

  • Team Info:
    • Practice in a care team model, providing medical direction over CRNAs with the opportunity to personally perform cases.
    • Diverse general and complex case mix, including orthopedic (elective + trauma), gynecology, ENT, complex vascular, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology including EP and structural heat, OB, and full scope cardiothoracic cases.
    • Utilization of peripheral nerve blocks and advanced regional techniques to reach enhanced recovery goals with our surgical colleagues.
    • Opportunity to teach residents and students.

  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits You May Be Eligible For:
  • $285/hour for in-house clinical shifts; 1.0 FTE = 2,000 hours annually
  • Competitive compensation structure aligned with multi-site clinical coverage
  • Transparent, predictable earnings tied directly to clinical work
  • High Earnings Potential: Additional shifts up to $350/hour; opportunities to increase income through flexible scheduling and additional coverage
  • Up to $75,000 annually in value-based incentives (based on quality, outcomes, and system performance) prorated based on FTE and start date
  • Sign-on bonus up to $75,000

Requirements

  • Physicians: Shall be board certified in an appropriate area of clinical practice or is board eligible and will become board certified within five years following the Start Date (unless sooner required by the applicable medical staff bylaws)
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participating in teaching and mentoring
  • Documenting in Epic EMR
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting community health efforts
