Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state
- Proven experience in cardiology or acute cardiac care is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cardiology teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence in interpreting basic diagnostic tests, including EKGs and telemetry
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with cardiac diagnostics such as stress tests or echocardiograms
- Familiarity with cardiac medication management
- Prior experience in outpatient and inpatient cardiology settings
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in cardiology or related field
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes call responsibilities; clinic hours may also be involved
- Ability to work both independently and alongside cardiologists
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and maintain certifications as required
