PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT - DERMATOLOGY - DOWNRIVER, MI

This position is in Downriver MI Communities

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4 pm, Fridays 8 am - 2 pm

This position has the potential to make up to $200,000 yearly

General Summary

Educate and advise patients, diagnose and treat health problems, and provide general health care under the direction of the physician. Works under the supervision of Dr. Kouba.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Example of Essential Duties:

• Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis: • Perform physical exams • Take medical histories • Diagnose various skin conditions

• Treatment Planning and Implementation: • Develop treatment plans • Prescribe medications • Administer treatments for skin conditions

• Procedures: • Perform biopsies • Cryotherapy • Other minor surgical procedures

• Patient Education: • Educate patients on proper skincare • Sun protection • Preventive measures

• Documentation: • Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation

• Collaboration: • Work collaboratively with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals

Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):

• Other treatments and/or procedures after consulting with or under the supervision of the physician.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Required: • Active Physician License from the Michigan State Medical Board • Knowledge of Physician Assistant theory, practice and medical care, medical equipment and instruments, and OSHA regulations. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to analyze and determine solutions in order to best serve the patients. • Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. • Current BLS required.

Education:

• Master's Degree and licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan
