About the Opportunity

Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a dedicated part-time Emergency Medicine Physician Assistan t to join our team on the island of Oahu .

What You'll Do:

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, managing a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.

  • Perform rapid clinical assessments, stabilize critically ill or injured patients, and initiate timely, life-saving interventions in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

  • Manage airway and respiratory emergencies, including performing intubation and utilizing advanced resuscitation techniques, in collaboration with supervising physicians.

  • Diagnose and treat trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other emergent conditions, ensuring prompt and effective patient care.

  • Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary hospital teams to coordinate care and facilitate transfers to higher-level or specialized services on Oahu when needed.

  • Support a high-volume emergency department with approximately 37,000 annual patient visits.

Qualifications:

  • Hawaii Physician Assistant License

  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Preferred: At least 1 year experience as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in specialty
