Physician Assistant

Colonial Internal Medicine Associates is a well-established and respected, independent practice that has served the Fredericksburg and Stafford areas for 20 years.

The practice is seeking experienced Physician Assistants to join a team of five physicians and six PAs practicing adolescent and adult Internal Medicine in a fast-paced office setting. This opportunity is an outpatient position with no night, weekend, or holiday work, and no call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will:

• Have at least two years or more of primary care experience (new graduates will be considered).
• Provide initial and follow up care to an established, robust patient panel.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate in a fast-paced office, working independently and in collaboration with physicians to address patient needs.
• Have a “service to patients” mentality and desire to join a stable and growing medical practice where they will be instrumental in providing primary care to their patient panel.
• Be a graduate with a master’s degree or higher from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Hold a current Virginia state license as a Physician Assistant.
• Hold a current DEA certificate.

The practice employs Advanced Compensation Models (ACM) that permit the provider to configure a compensation arrangement that balances both professional and personal goals. The models can be structured to emphasize a patient care/administrative balance with a ½ day per week set aside for administrative matters;or be production focused allowing the physician assistant to maximize earning potential. The models permit an earning potential upwards of $170,000/yr.
