Our client, a leading healthcare provider renowned for its comprehensive surgical and vascular services, is hiring a Physician Assistant - General and Vascular Surgery. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic surgical team supporting both general and vascular surgery services. The Physician Assistant will manage inpatient care, conduct consults, support clinics, and optionally assist in the operating room. Responsibilities
- Manage inpatient care for surgical patients, ensuring optimal recovery and safety.
- Conduct surgical consultations, advising the medical team and patients.
- Support outpatient clinic activities, including patient assessments and follow-ups.
- Provide first assist support in the operating room, based on interest and availability.
- Participate in OR support, primarily during Friday mornings or as scheduled for 12.5-hour shifts.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including residents, surgeons, and other providers.
- Contribute to the departments growth initiatives, supporting the vascular service expansion and new program development.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Demonstrated strong clinical foundation and interest in surgical services.
- Ability to work a schedule of 3 shifts per week, including nights and days.
- Flexibility to consider candidates available for at least 2 nights per week.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience in vascular or general surgery, preferred
- Previous OR support experience, preferred
