Position Overview

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (Surgical First Assistant) to join a surgical team in Geneva, New York. In this role, you will provide comprehensive perioperative support, including patient assessment, surgical assistance, postoperative care, and collaboration with surgeons and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

The Physician Assistant will play a key role in ensuring high-quality patient outcomes while supporting efficient surgical operations. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $115,000 to $135,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to work within a collaborative and patient-centered surgical environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Current New York State Physician Assistant license.
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of Physician Assistant experience, preferably in surgery or a surgical specialty.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience serving as a Surgical First Assistant.
  • Experience in perioperative, inpatient, or surgical specialty settings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
