Position: Physician Assistant
Location: Hagerstown, MD 21742
Pay: $85/hr.
Duration: 07/24/26 to 09/04/26 (possible extension or Temp. to Perm.)
Schedule: 40 hours weekly, 3 pm - 11 pm (Mon - Fri) | No weekends or On-call requirements
Setting: Primary/Occupational health employee clinic
Key Responsibilities
Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines
Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices
Qualifications
Active Physician Assistant license.
Current DEA and state prescriptive authority (preferred).
Current BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or equivalent)
Minimum of 3 years of Physician Assistant experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department settings.
