Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is recruiting a Physician Assistant to join its OB/GYN Department team. The OB/GYN Physician Assistant plays a crucial part in assisting the physicians with the successful execution diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and renders medical services to OB/GYN patients. This demanding yet highly rewarding position combines advanced medical knowledge, technical expertise, and exceptional patient care skills to support OB/GYN's and ensure optimal outcomes.
Physician Assistants are highly skilled healthcare professionals who work under the supervision of physicians in the OB/GYN Department. As part of a multidisciplinary medical team, an OB/GYN PA must possess a diverse set of skills and a deep understanding of OB/GYN practices to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Description:
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and renders medical services to OB/GYN patients.
Performs patient assessments in conjunction with the Obstetrician/Gynecologist.
Performs spontaneous delivery under the supervision and direction of the Attending.
Assists with surgical procedures under the direction of the Attending Physician
Write prescriptions according to OB/GYN protocol and NY State rules and regulations.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Must possess a current, unrestricted Physician Assistant New York State license.
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers.
Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
NCCPA certification required.
Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
BLS or ACLS required.
Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to make decisions in high pressure situations.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
