Description

Location: Ogden, UtahSchedule: 12 hours per week (600 hours annually)Population: Students ages 16–24

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical examinations and develop treatment plans.

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.

  • Prescribe medications within scope of practice and supervisory authority.

  • Administer immunizations and preventive health services.

  • Document all patient encounters accurately and timely.

  • Participate in DAC meetings when requested.

  • Coordinate referrals for specialized or emergency care.

  • Collaborate with behavioral health and substance abuse staff.

  • Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Utah Physician Assistant license.

  • Valid DEA registration with prescribing authority.

  • Current professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence.

  • Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing.

  • Experience in primary care; experience with adolescent/young adult populations preferred.

  • Ability to work both independently and under physician supervision as required by state law.

Supervisory Requirement

  • Must maintain a current Supervisory Agreement with a licensed Physician in accordance with Utah regulations.

  • Supervisory Agreement must support prescribing authority, including controlled substances.

  • All licenses and supervisory agreements must remain active during the full contract performance period
