UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Nurse Practitioner/CRNP to join our Cardiology team within the nationally renowned UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Williamsport. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative and experienced heart team.

In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact caring for a large and diverse patient population, with a balanced practice that includes both clinic and hospital-based care.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Hospital & call rotation with APP team
  • Blend of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding

Compensation & Incentives

  • Competitive salary based on experience

What You'll Do

  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
  • Participate in hospital rounding and collaborate on inpatient care plans
  • Develop individualized care plans focused on quality outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on heart health and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Knowledge of growth and development principles
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan
  • Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care
  • Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.

Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP

  • Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program

  • BSN required; MSN preferred

  • Pennsylvania RN license and CRNP certification

  • National certification and eligibility for licensure and CRNP certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing

  • Physician Assistant (PA

  • Graduation from an ARC‑PA-accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Bachelor's or master's degree preferred

  • Pennsylvania PA license and NCCPA certification

  • Required for All APP Candidates

  • CPR certification -

  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Successful completion of Pennsylvania clearances:

  • Act 33

  • Act 34

  • Act 73
