About Dr. Salvatore Rizzo

Dr. Salvatore Rizzo, DO is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in general orthopedics and foot and ankle surgery. He completed his Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship at Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington (Seattle, WA), and his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at York Hospital (York, PA).

A Long Island native, Dr. Rizzo is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality orthopedic care to the community he serves.

Position Summary

Catholic Health Physician Partners is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join Dr. Rizzo's Orthopedic Surgery practice. This role supports both clinical and surgical care of foot and ankle patients.

New graduates with a strong interest in orthopedics are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• First assist in orthopedic foot and ankle surgeries (including ORIF)
• Provide OR coverage 1-2 days per week
• Perform H&Ps, patient evaluations, and assist with treatment planning
• Manage patient phone encounters and medication refill requests
• Support pre- and post-operative patient care

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active NY State PA license
• DEA certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred:

• Orthopedic or surgical experience (foot & ankle preferred)
• Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
• New graduates welcome to apply

Salary Range

USD $69.55 - USD $74.67 /Hr.
