Physician Assistant (PA) - Electrophysiology

A New Jersey-based healthcare network is looking to boost its Inpatient Cardiology team with the addition of a new Physician Assistant (PA) to support a high-volume electrophysiology service. This locums role involves providing hands-on inpatient care for cardiac patients across pre- and post-procedural management, admissions, discharges, and ongoing collaboration with physicians.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Full-time, 3 shifts per week, flexible days
• Hours: Approximately 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; 12 to 12.5-hour shifts
• Setting: Inpatient hospital-based electrophysiology/cardiology service

Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative management for cardiac patients
• Handle admissions and discharges for the inpatient EP/Cardiology service
• Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists and cardiologists
• Manage post-ablation patients and LAAO device patients
• Deliver inpatient cardiac and electrophysiology care in a busy, team-based environment

Qualifications:

• Active Physician Assistant license
• Minimum of 2 years of Electrophysiology and Cardiac experience
• Strong hospital-based experience
• Experience with Pre- and Post-Procedural Cardiac Care
• Comfort working in a high-volume EP/Cardiology environment
