Our client, a leading healthcare provider specializing in cardiovascular care, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA), Interventional Cardiology. This role offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment, focusing on both coronary and structural heart procedures. The PA will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive patient care, supporting clinical research initiatives, and enhancing patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities
Manage pre- and post-procedure patient care for coronary (stents) and structural heart (TAVR, Mitral Clip) patients.
Assist in evaluating and coordinating patient care in preparation for interventions.
Respond to STEMI calls from the Emergency Department, providing urgent clinical assessment and support.
Facilitate patient education, documentation, and scheduling related to cath lab procedures.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless, high-quality care.
Participate in clinical research activities and stay updated on advances in cardiovascular treatments.
Support cross-cover duties at multiple campuses, assisting with patient management across locations.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Registered Physician Assistant in New York State.
NCCPA certification.
Minimum 1-2 years of outpatients or inpatient cardiology experience preferred.
Strong note-taking, computer proficiency, and scheduling skills.
Ability to assess patient acuity and determine anesthesia needs for proper scheduling.
Knowledge of cardiovascular medicine, with enthusiasm for ongoing learning.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Availability for a 3-day weekly schedule, 12.5-hour shifts, with no night shifts or on-call responsibilities.
Flexibility to work rotating days and respond to emergent situations as needed.
