Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Oncology- Night Shift and Day Shift Positions

Our client, a leading academic medical center specializing in comprehensive cancer care and groundbreaking research, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Oncology - Night Shift and Day Shift Positions. This critical role supports the delivery of specialized inpatient cancer care for patients with complex and high-acuity hematologic and solid tumor conditions. The Physician Assistant (PA) will work within a multidisciplinary team at the Moses Campus, primarily in the Northwest Pavilion, providing essential coverage during both night and day shifts. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative cancer treatments, including cellular and immunotherapy protocols, and to work alongside some of the most renowned specialists in oncology.

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient clinical care for patients with malignant hematology and solid tumors, including administering chemotherapy, managing complications, and supporting cellular therapy procedures such as CAR-T therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient management.
• Support high-acuity patients through admissions, treatments, and discharges, with an emphasis on safety and quality care.
• Assist with clinical research trials and infusion therapies, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in oncology, hematology, or related specialties preferred; strong consideration given to new graduates with relevant training.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Prior experience with high-acuity inpatient management, infusion therapies, and cellular or immunotherapies is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Epic EMR, excellent multitasking skills, and ability to adapt to changing clinical situations.
• Willingness to work night or day shifts as assigned, with understanding of the requirements for high-complexity cancer care.
• BMT and CAR-T therapy experience, or advanced practice training in oncology, is a strong plus.
