Our client, a leading healthcare provider specializing in womens health services, is hiring a Physician Assistant with an ObGyn focus to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients, including performing examinations, diagnosing conditions, and managing treatment plans.
Assist physicians with surgeries, procedures, and patient consultations.
Educate patients on health maintenance and preventive care specific to womens health.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings to uphold clinical excellence.
Requirements:
Graduate from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, or strong rotations in ObGyn during training.
Valid and current Physician Assistant license in New York state.
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Demonstrated competency in conducting pelvic exams, prenatal care, and managing gynecological conditions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
BLS and ACLS certification are required; additional obstetric-specific certifications are a plus.
Willingness to participate in occasional on-call duties and patient assessments outside regular hours.
