Matrix Providers is hiring a Physician Assistant – Primary Care to join our team of talented professionals providing healthcare services to Military Service Members and their families at Naval Branch Health Clinic Saratoga Springs, NY.

  • Employment Status: Full-time
  • Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly: $72.20-76.00/ hour
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Certification:
    • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA).
    • Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience: 12 months of experience as a physician assistant in outpatient primary care within the last 24 months.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

  • Provide comprehensive primary and specialty medical care, including patient assessments, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic conditions within the scope of clinical privileges.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat illnesses, injuries, and minor trauma, recognizing emergencies and referring complex cases to physicians when appropriate.
  • Perform telephone triage, coordinate appropriate patient care, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Prescribe medications, immunizations, and therapeutic treatments in accordance with approved clinical guidelines, protocols, and scope of practice.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while promoting preventive care, health maintenance, wellness education, and disease prevention.
  • Educate and counsel patients, families, and groups on health conditions, self-care, family planning, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation using electronic health record systems and other Department of Defense clinical databases.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, emergency response, legal, ethical, and regulatory standards while ensuring quality patient care.
  • Participate in peer review, performance improvement, risk management, continuing education, mandatory training, staff meetings, and in-service education programs.
  • Provide clinical leadership by supervising, mentoring, and collaborating with healthcare team members while maintaining professional accountability and supporting high-quality patient care.
