A nationally recognized cardiovascular program is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its outpatient Cardiac Surgery practice on a long-term contract assignment.
This opportunity offers a highly collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional care to preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery patients. Providers will work alongside experienced cardiac surgeons and advanced practice professionals in a well-supported outpatient setting.
Position Highlights:
Outpatient-only practice
No call responsibilities
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Consistent weekday schedule
Long-term assignment available through March 2027
Collaborative multidisciplinary cardiac surgery team
Strong clinical and administrative support
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage preoperative cardiac surgery patients
Conduct postoperative follow-up visits
Provide patient education and care coordination
Monitor recovery and optimize surgical outcomes
Perform minor postoperative procedures as appropriate
Collaborate closely with surgeons and advanced practice colleagues
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active New Jersey license required
Current CDS and DEA required
Cardiac surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, or related surgical experience preferred
