    Role Description The Physician Assistant at GA/MD will provide direct patient care, including conducting histories and physical exams, phlebotomy, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating evidence-based treatment plans under physician supervision. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing acute and chronic conditions, performing indicated procedures within scope of practice, prescribing medications as authorized, and documenting encounters in the medical record with accuracy and timeliness. The role involves educating patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care, as well as coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. This is a part-time (with full-time potential), on-site role based in the Suwanee, requiring consistent in-person collaboration and patient interaction.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; active PA license (or eligibility) in the state of Georgia.
    • \n
    • Certification from NCCPA or eligibility for certification; current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
    • \n
    • Experience in outpatient or primary care, internal medicine, or a related clinical setting is highly beneficial.
    • \n
    • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including the ability to synthesize history, exam, and test results into clear care plans.
    • \n
    • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and accurate, timely clinical documentation.
    • \n
    • Effective communication skills for explaining medical information in accessible terms and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
    • \n
    • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and ethical clinical practice.
    • \n
    • Ability to work part-time on-site in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, with reliability and professional time management.
