Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The PA will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The PA also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.

This position is for a PA role on the Thoracic Surgery team. It is a fast paced environment, working with critically ill patients. Works both inpatient and outpatient.

Salary range : $83.46-$112.31/hourly

Job Qualifications

  • CA PA License-required

  • Degree for PA Program- required (Master's degree preferred)

  • National Board Certification as a PA-required

  • BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC-required

  • 2 years relevant experience as PA- preferred ( Will consider new grads)

  • NPI #, DEA #,

  • Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES- required

  • Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel

  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction

  • Ability to set priorities

  • Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence

  • Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner
