    Boone Hospital Center, a 392-bed full-service hospital in Columbia, Missouri is seeking an APP for the Intensive Care Unit. This role functions as a member of one of our intensive care teams. The APP will collaborate with 3 full-time and PRN physicians on a rotating basis to comprise a team of one physician and one APP on day shift. Our ICU is 32 beds with a mixture of surgical, cardiac, neurologic and medical patients. Boone Hospital is a regional referral center with many direct admissions from surrounding communities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations on patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
    • Evaluate and manage patients with conditions including but not limited to:
      • Septic Shock
      • Respiratory failure
      • Decompensated heart failure
      • Cardiac arrest
      • Stroke
      • Diabetic Ketoacidosis
    • Develop and implement evidence-based management plans.
    • Perform daily rounds, collaborate with physician colleges, document progress notes.
    • Order and interpret various imaging and lab studies.
    • Consult other services and coordinate care as needed. 
    • Perform procedures as indicated. 
    • Respond as part of the hospital wide code team.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree: Bachelor's Degree from accredited PA program 
    • Experience:  Not a requirement
    • Supervisor Experience:  No Experience

    Work Shift: Day Shift, 7a-7p 

    Scheduled Weekly Hours: 7 on/7off, holidays as scheduled
