Trinity Health IHA Medical Group has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon with Fellowship training in Breast Surgery to join a growing group located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The practice is closely aligned with the Trinity Health Southeast Michigan Oncology Program which is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and is recognized as an Integrated Network Cancer Program by the Commission on Cancer. The oncology program also leads the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium (MCRC-NCORP). The Michigan Cancer Research Consortium NCORP (MCRC-NCORP) is an exemplary, comprehensive clinical trial program that consists of medical centers that have met the highest standards of excellence in conducting cancer clinical trials. The program consists of thirteen hospitals in Michigan, and several out of state hospitals that collaboratively enroll hundreds of patients on clinical trials each year. MCRC-NCORP consists of over 100 medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and other specialists who work hard to deliver exceptional cancer care. The MCRC-NCORP is one of 46 research programs established by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

The breast care program offers a full complement of breast health services, from screening through diagnostic testing to surgical and post-surgery treatments at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group locations in Livingston, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties.

Services include:

  • Weekly Breast Tumor Conference and Multidisciplinary Clinic
  • Nurse Navigation
  • Evaluation/treatment for a variety of benign breast diseases including breast pain, nipple discharge and cysts.
  • Breast cancer risk assessment and counseling.
  • Access to state-of-the-art screening, detection, and diagnostic technology through Trinity radiology services.
  • Genetic testing and counseling.
  • A high-risk benign breast disease clinic with dedicated long-term care and follow-up.

Interested candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and have completed a Breast Surgery Fellowship program.
