Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac

Job Details:

• Provide cardiovascular anesthesiology coverage for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases
• 
  
• Must be TEE certified with cardiac anesthesiology fellowship preferred
• 
  
• Cover general anesthesia cases as needed in addition to cardiac specialization
• 
  
• Assist with general OR procedures beyond cardiac cases
• 
  
• Handle 360-450 cardiac cases per year with 2 cardiac surgeons on staff
• 
  
• Provide hands-on anesthesia care with occasional CRNA supervision
• 
  
• Work Monday through Friday 8-10 hour days with unrestricted overnight and weekend call
• 
  
• Adult and geriatric patients only - no pediatric care required
• 
  
• Must have completed ACGME or international equivalent CV anesthesia fellowship
• 
  
• Must achieve testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)
• 
  
• Alternative: minimum 5 years documented CV anesthesia experience with recommendation letters
• 
  
• Board certification in cardiac anesthesiology and transesophageal echocardiography required
• 
  
• Clean malpractice and background check highly preferred
• 
  
• Ongoing availability required through December 2026

Facility:

This 187-bed Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical Center features 15 operating rooms in the main facility, along with 3 endoscopy suites and 2 electrophysiology labs. The facility offers comprehensive cardiac services including TEE, invasive and non-invasive cardiology, neuro interventional radiology, bronchoscopy, MRI services, and obstetrics. As an academic medical center, it provides advanced training opportunities and maintains state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support complex cardiovascular procedures.
