Physician - Internal Medicine - Cardiology

Job Details:

• Provide interventional cardiology coverage for weekend shifts only
• 
  
• Cath lab coverage exclusively with no hospital coverage required
• 
  
• Handle 6-10 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• Manage average of 5-10 cases and 10-15 STEMIs per month
• 
  
• Weekend coverage needed for June and July with potential for ongoing coverage
• 
  
• Orientation required on June 11
• 
  
• Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine - Cardiology
• 
  
• Fellowship training required (3 years)
• 
  
• BLS certification required
• 
  
• Comprehensive cardiology skills required including outpatient and inpatient cardiology, ICU, non-invasive procedures, invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology
• 
  
• Experience with STEMI management, cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker implantation, and cardiac ablation required

This is a Level 1 trauma center featuring a 32-bed cardiology department that provides comprehensive cardiovascular care services. The facility offers advanced cardiac interventional capabilities with a busy cath lab and maintains high standards for cardiac care delivery.
