Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Pediatrics - Cardiology, Internal Medicine - Cardiovascular Disease

Job Details:

  • Provide pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular disease care in a 20-bed department

  • Work various shift schedules including weekday days (6:45 AM - 6:00 PM), weekend days (7:00 AM - 6:30 PM), weekday nights (4:30 PM - 8:30 AM), and weekend nights (5:30 PM - 8:30 AM)

  • Patient encounters vary per shift based on department needs

  • Must be board certified with fellowship training required (3 years)

  • BLS and PALS certifications required

  • Perform non-invasive ventilation management including neo-puff

  • Manage acute and chronic ventilation for newborns and pediatric patients

  • Perform intubation procedures for newborns and pediatric patients

  • Provide conscious sedation and deep sedation

  • Insert and manage central lines, arterial lines, UVC, and UAC

  • Perform lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertions

  • Handle needle pneumothorax decompression procedures

  • Interpret X-rays and EKGs including PA catheter readings

  • Perform exchange transfusions when needed

  • Preferred skills include suturing minor lacerations and swallow studies
