Job Details:

• Provide night and weekend coverage acting as 2nd Call
• 
  
• Minimum 1 week per month and 1 weekend per month required, shifts do not need to be consecutive
• 
  
• Shift hours are as follows: Monday Thursday 8:00 PM 6:00 AM (10 hours), Friday 8:00 PM 7:00 AM (11 hours), Saturday 5:00 PM 7:00 AM (14 hours), Sunday 5:00 PM 6:00 AM (13 hours)
• 
  
• Patient population is adult
• 
  
• Provide consults upon request and evaluation & management (E&M) services only; no procedures required
• 
  
• Read Echo and nuclear studies performed in the hospital
• 
  
• Provide care for patients admitted under the Cardiology department
• 
  
• Required to maintain a manual log of all charges
• 
  
• A pager is provided by the heartcare department
• 
  
• EMR system: EPIC
• 
  
• Board Certification in Cardiology required
• 
  
• Active NC state license required
• 
  
• DEA required
• 
  
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 
  
• Minimum 1 2 years of experience required
• 
  
• Local candidates only
