Physician - Cardiology

Job Details:

• Provide second call cardiology coverage with a minimum of 1 week per month and 1 weekend per month (does not need to be consecutive shifts)
• 
  
• Shift schedule is as follows: Monday through Thursday 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM (10 hours), Friday 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM (11 hours), Saturday 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM (14 hours), and Sunday 5:00 PM - 6:00 AM (13 hours)
• 
  
• Patient population is adult
• 
  
• Provide consults upon request and evaluation & management (E&M) services only - no procedures required
• 
  
• Read Echo and nuclear studies performed in the hospital
• 
  
• Provide care for patients admitted under the Heartcare department
• 
  
• Required to maintain a manual log of all charges
• 
  
• Pager provided by the Heartcare department
• 
  
• EMR system: EPIC
• 
  
• Board Certification in Cardiology required
• 
  
• Active North Carolina state license required
• 
  
• DEA required
• 
  
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 
  
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience required
• 
  
• Local candidates only
