Job Details:

• CVT surgical call coverage position with no clinic coverage required
• 
  
• Coverage needed for specific dates only: September 18-25 and December 28 through January 3
• 
  
• Level II Trauma Center requiring provider capable of performing both thoracic surgery and cardiovascular procedures
• 
  
• 24-hour call coverage required
• 
  
• Patient load of approximately 10-12 patients per week with 3-5 consults over 7 days and 1-3 surgeries per week (typically 1 cardiac and 2-3 thoracic cases)
• 
  
• Practice performs approximately 80 open heart procedures per year
• 
  
• Provider must be Board Certified or Board Eligible
• 
  
• Must have Utah license and Utah DEA in hand at time of presentation
• 
  
• Provider will perform cases independently without NP assist
• 
  
• NP available to assist Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding evenings, weekends, and planned PTO)
• 
  
• Vein harvest team provided by the facility
• 
  
• Support staff includes 1 APP, 1 MA, 1 MOS, and 1 RN
• 
  
• EMR system is Meditech

This is a Level II Trauma Center offering a comprehensive range of acute care and surgical services to the surrounding community. The facility supports a robust cardiovascular and thoracic surgery program performing a high volume of cardiac procedures annually, and is equipped with dedicated support staff and resources to assist locum providers in delivering excellent patient care.
