Requirements
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited university
Fellowship trained
Board Certified or Board Eligible (must be certified in the first three years of eligibility)
Valid licensure
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management visits.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Collaborate with patients and their families to develop individualized care plans, including pharmacologic treatment, psychotherapy, medical evaluations, and school-based interventions.
Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with clinical and legal standards.
Participate in after-hours phone coverage on a rotational basis (approximately every 8-10 weeks).
Work closely within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, advanced practitioners, and therapy providers.
Engage in teaching and mentorship opportunities, contributing to trainee education and collaborative care initiatives.
