Direct Hire – Physician Clinic Medical Director

Location: Stockton, CA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM No nights No weekends No holidays No on‑call

About the Role

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree
  • 1+ year of experience in Managed Care
  • 1+ year of experience in Human Resources
  • 1+ year of experience in ANY of the following:

    • Clinical Quality
    • Quality & Risk Management
  • Valid California license/certification (any of the following):

    • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) – CA
    • Medical Doctor (MD) – CA
    • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) – CA

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 100% center‑based direct patient care
  • Serve as the Clinical Medical Director for the Stockton location
  • Mentor clinicians and lead by example, demonstrating clinical excellence and exceptional patient experience
  • Collaborate with the Director of Medical Operations to enhance clinical quality, workflows, safety, and patient satisfaction
  • Partner with the Director Team to identify improvement opportunities and ensure workflow compliance
  • Train and mentor future clinical leaders, fostering professionalism, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Understand and influence center financial drivers to support business and strategic plans
  • Assist other Clinical Medical Directors in understanding operational and financial goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, payers, referral sources, networks, and community partners to support market growth
  • Respond to operational or clinical requests within 24 hours
  • Assist with clinician meeting planning and staffing management
  • May observe drug/alcohol testing of patients as needed

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
  • No nights, weekends, holidays, or on‑call
