Sanford Health has an opening for a Fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon Hospitalist to join itsSurgery Department in Fargo, North Dakota. Experienced candidates preferred but newgraduates are welcome to apply. The additional surgeon is needed due to our continued practice growth both locally and regionally.

• Join a group of 3 colorectal surgeons and 16 other surgeons experienced in breast surgery, bariatric surgery, oncology surgery, general surgery,
• trauma and acute care surgery
• Full time hospital coverage and urgent/emergent OR cases
• Flexible scheduling, 182 shifts/year.
• DaVinci XI and DV5 robot available
• Level 1 trauma center
• Teaching of surgical residents and medical students through the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences

  A physician who specializes in invasive procedures in the colon and rectal areas, as well as general operations on the lower digestive tract.

  Qualifications

  M.D. or D.O. degreeSuccessful completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency followed by a fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery
• Must hold an active medical license for each state in which the physician practices – either physically or virtually.Must have a DEA for each state in which the physician physically practices.Board Certified in Colon & Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents.Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.

  Compensation

  Sanford Health offers a nationally competitive compensation plan with an additional physician benefits package including a health, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, CME allowance, malpractice insurance and tail coverage, and a relocation allowance.Competitive compensation package includes:• Compensation floor of $532,080 for the first two years of the employment contract, plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs.• In addition, a $100,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 3 years (this will be subject to a contractual agreement specifying all details
