Physician - Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine
Job Details:
- Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine physician needed for locum tenens coverage
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Duties include rounding plus call coverage with support staff assisting with call during the day
- 16-bed department
- Board eligible within 5 years of residency required; board certification required
- Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
- Level 3 trauma facility
- Preferred specialty skills include:
- Ventilation management including invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy) and non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Chest tube insertion
- Bronchoscopy with bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL)
- Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
- Insertion of central line, arterial line, PA catheter, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Temporary pacemaker placement
- ICP evaluation and management
- Dialysis catheter placement
- Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
